Terms of Service

Effective October 10, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of LingoFlash (lingoflash.ai, the “Service”), provided by Vansor Technology Limited (“we”, “us”). By signing up for or using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.

1. The Service

The Service is an AI-powered English learning tool. It offers a video player for shadowing, AI subtitles (speech recognition) and translation, recording and playback comparison, AI pronunciation scoring, word lookups and AI explanations, read-aloud, everyday-scene expressions, saving and review. We keep improving the Service and may change features, allowances and prices; we will announce significant changes in advance.

2. Accounts

  • You can sign up and sign in with a Google account or an email address, and you are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Accounts are personal. You may not transfer, sell or share an account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Service with a parent or guardian's consent.

3. Subscriptions, credits and payment

  • Pro is billed monthly or yearly and renews automatically. You can cancel anytime under “Me → Manage subscription”; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
  • Credits are a prepaid allowance used for AI pronunciation scores and AI speech recognition beyond the included amounts, and for high-quality video downloads. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred, and do not expire while the Service is operating.
  • Credits included with Pro are granted after each successful payment.
  • If a download or recognition fails, the credits and allowance used are returned automatically.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are as shown at checkout and may include applicable taxes. See the Refund Policy for refunds.

4. Free allowances and fair use

The allowances of the free plan and Pro are as shown in the Service. “Unlimited” means normal personal study. If we find automated scripts, bulk scraping, resale or other use clearly beyond personal study, we may limit the features involved.

5. Videos and content you add

  • Videos you add by link (YouTube, TikTok and others) belong to their copyright holders. The Service is for your personal study only; you may not republish, distribute or commercially use downloaded videos, subtitles or translations.
  • You confirm that you are entitled to use the content you add for study. If a rights holder sends us a valid infringement notice, we will remove the content.
  • Learning content you enter or create belongs to you. You allow us to store and process it as needed to provide the Service.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Reverse engineering, disrupting or attacking the Service, or getting around allowances or payment.
  • Creating or spreading illegal, infringing, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit content.
  • Impersonating others, or paying or requesting refunds fraudulently.

7. AI-generated content

Subtitles, translations, explanations, examples and pronunciation scores generated by AI may contain mistakes. They are a study aid, not professional advice (such as medical, legal or immigration advice), and not a substitute for an exam or certification. Please check anything important yourself.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. If you break these Terms, we may suspend or close your account. If we ever shut the Service down, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund unused credits and the remaining period of any subscription pro rata.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Changes by third-party platforms (such as video sites) may stop some videos from being added, downloaded or recognised.

Except in cases of our intent or gross negligence, and to the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any damage arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage occurred. Where consumer protection law does not allow this limitation, it does not apply.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. If the consumer protection laws of the country or region where you live give you more rights, those laws apply.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For significant changes we will notify you in the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
